Interior and Exterior
As we do for commercial and residential projects we also divide our projects into exterior and interior projects. Again the reason that we do this is that interior projects and exterior projects each come with their unique set of challenges. When we are cleaning windows on the exterior part of homes or buildings, for example, we have to account for the elements to which the windows are exposed on a daily basis. On interiors, we usually have less room to set up our equipment to be able to get to all of those hard to reach places as well!
Does The Process Vary From Exteriors To Interiors?
For the most part, we try and do the same type of cleaning in both areas so we could say that overall the 4 step process that we use is mostly the same. That being, said there are times where we will use special add-ons for different windows. We do this to help the windows cope with the different elements that they will most likely face in their environment. On exterior windows that is pretty clear, but there are certain windows and structures on interiors that may also face things like steam or dust on a daily basis!
Is One More Expensive Than The Other?
It really depends a lot on what we were just talking about. Sometimes certain add-ons can make one or the other more expensive. Also, the type of equipment that we have to use may make the price vary. Since a lot of times we have to use more complex equipment to clean windows on the outside we may lean to saying that exterior services may be just a little more expensive. All in all, though, we try to provide the same affordable prices all of the time!
Windy Days Make It Tough On Exterior Jobs
There are certain days where we legally will not be allowed to work on exteriors especially in very large buildings. The main reason behind that is the fact that the high winds can make it really tough for our guys to be able to maneuver up there. Making the job too risky. We usually get those readings and warnings in advance so we pretty much know which days we won’t be able to get out there. We will monitor the situation and let you know ahead of time if we are going to need to cancel or reschedule a service though!
Dealing With Ice & Snow
Working on exterior windows here in Eagan also has its unique set of challenges. At times we may recommend that you allow us to apply different chemicals to your windows to help them cope with the cold weather. It is not that if we don’t do this your window will turn into a block of ice or anything like that. It is just that we can help you see better through the window with these types of products and the overall look that you will get in the winter will be better! Learn more about Eagan Window Washers!
